Description
There were many African American heroes in the Civil War. At least 25 black soldiers received the Congressional Medal of Honor for their valor, courage and bravery.
This poster highlights 10 of those heroes. It also lists the black unit that each served with, and the battle for which they received the Medal of Honor.
